MARION, IN, October 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Phyllis Moorehead, retired Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Moorehead Communications dba The Cellular Connection, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.

Ms. Moorehead, along with her husband, founded Moorehead Communications dba The Cellular Connection 20 years ago. Until her retirement two years ago, she served as CFO of the cellular retail chain, a position which entailed supervising personnel, hiring and evaluating employees, and managing the computer and networking systems. She also handled all company matters related to insurance, employee benefits, financial statements, procedures, point-of-sale software and internal auditing. In addition, Ms. Moorehead utilized her skills as a Verizon-authorized agent and EchoStar reseller. She attributes her success to her flexibility and well-honed reading and analysis skills.
A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Ms. Moorehead holds a bachelor's degree in English.

She is exceptionally skilled at mentoring women in accounting and business areas. In 2001, she was honored with the Athena Leadership Award from ATHENA International. Looking toward the future, Ms. Moorehead and her husband of 39 years plan to invest in various companies.
