Guide by Cell Powers Text Voting Campaign for Reid Hospital Foundation's "BRAvo! Busting Out Against Breast Cancer" Awareness and Prevention Campaign
Reid Hospital Foundation in Richmond, IN, is set to launch the BRAvo! Busting Out Against Breast Cancer campaign for breast cancer awareness and prevention, powered by Guide by Cell text message voting technology.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reid Hospital Foundation in Richmond, IN, will launch a Guide by Cell-powered text message voting campaign on Wednesday, September 21, in conjunction with this year's BRAvo! Busting Out Against Breast Cancer event.
Reid Hospital launched the BRAvo! campaign as a fun way to talk about a serious cause -- breast cancer. Each bra decorated by a community member tells a story of strength, survival, memory or humor - and all will act as an eye-catching reminder to be proactive about breast cancer prevention. Proceeds will provide free digital mammograms for uninsured women and financial assistance for patients in need.
So far, approximately 150 decorated bras have been entered into the contest. The bras will be placed in community exhibits and the public will be allowed to vote for their favorite "piece," simply by texting keyword "BRAVO" to 56512.
"Already, the excitement generated by BRAvo! has been amazing," said Jason Troutwine, Director at the Reid Hospital Foundation. "It's provided a positive outlet for so many in our community and will make a difference. And we believe the ability to vote by text while viewing the community exhibits will add to the excitement of the event."
Voting closes October 19, 2011.
